At around 6.00pm on Wednesday 8 November 2023, the victim had words with a group of youngsters playing around and trying to hit the emergency stop button on an escalator leading up to a supermarket on Canning Highway in Como. One of the males in the group pulled out a knife from his trousers and while pointing the knife at the victim made threats towards the victim. The group ran off when staff from the supermarket intervened.

Police have released CCTV images of a male who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The male is described as: brown skinned, between 15 to 18 years old with a slim build. He was wearing a black Adidas hooded jumper, grey beanie over a black balaclava, black track pants with white joggers.
