Between 11.00pm on Sunday 8 January 2023 and 2.15am on Monday 9 January 2023, an unknown offender forced open a bedroom window at a home on Kalgoorlie Street in Mount Hawthorn and reached through the window and stole a credit card on top of a bedside table. Soon a after the card was used to make eleven fraudulent purchases in North Perth and Yokine.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: tan skinned, slim build, between 30 to 40 years with short hair and an unshaven appearance. He was wearing a high-vis jacket, black pants, black runners, a black backpack and was riding a bicycle with a full face motorcycle helmet.
