Around 11am a man entered a retail store on Belmont Avenue Belmont and attempted to return an electrical item to the store. The employee inspected the item and found that there was substantial damage to the item and the refund was refused. The man became verbally abusive towards the staff member. The man then threw the electrical item at a wall inside the store causing damage to the wall as well as shelves.
The man then left the store.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: Light skinned, 20-30 years of age, thin build, short brown hair, wearing a white long sleeve top, multi coloured shorts and sandals.
