Between 10pm on Saturday 26 January and 11.30am the following morning, a vehicle was broken into on Whitworth Avenue Girrawheen. A purse was taken from inside which contained various personal papers. When the victim realised their purse was stolen, they found it further down the street, minus their drivers licence and a credit card.
An order was placed online for a mobile phone using the stolen drivers licence and credit card. Around 2pm on Monday 4 February 2019, a woman attended a retail store in Alexander Heights and picked up the mobile phone that was ordered, by producing the identification.
Police have released a CCTV image of a woman who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The woman is described as: Light skinned, approximately 35-40 years of age, medium/solid build and shoulder length dark brown hair. She was wearing a blue top and a dark skirt with sandals.
