Around 10.30am on Christmas Day (Wednesday 25 December 2019), a man and woman went to a beach in Wannanup and wrapped their car keys inside a towel. As the two were surfing a short distance away, the keys were stolen. The keys were used to steal their vehicle. Inside the vehicle was a wallet containing a credit card. The credit card was used by a woman to fraudulently purchase items from a service station in Falcon around midday.


The vehicle was located abandoned in Gelorup on Saturday 28 December 2019.


Police have released a CCTV image of a woman who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.


The woman is described as: Light skinned, thin build with short light brown hair. She was wearing a baseball cap and light coloured top.
