Around 10.30pm on Saturday 17 August 2019, a man had his wallet taken from his back pocket whilst he was distracted. He felt the wallet being taken and looked behind him to see a man running away. A short time later, around 11.15pm, a credit card from inside the wallet was used to fraudulently purchase goods from three stores in the Scarborough area.
Police have released a CCTV image of two men who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The first man is described as: Light skinned, around 18 years of age, short brown hair and a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded jacket.
The second man is described as: Light skinned, around 18 years of age, short dark hair, a small moustache and a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded jacket and a red peaked cap.
