DESCRIPTION:

  • 70 years of age.
  • Green eyes.
  • Brown hair.
  • Solid build.
  • Fair complexion.
  • Wore glasses for reading and general day to day activities.

QUICK CASE FACTS:

  • Mrs Fermendjin was a widow, who lived alone in her home situated at the front of the battle-axe block she shared with her daughter and her family in Melville.
  • Was last seen alive at 7.00am on 05 January 2016 in Attadale, where she collected ironing from a regular client.
  • At 7.18am on the same day her vehicle is sighted on CCTV footage in the driveway of her home situated on Leach Highway, Melville.
  • Mrs Fermendjin was located deceased in her home on 7 January 2016 by her daughter.

BACKGROUND:

Mrs Fermendjin was born in June 1945 in Romania and migrated to Australia with her husband and daughter in the 1980’s.

Mrs Fermendjin was widowed and prior to her retirement worked as a dressmaker for a company in Perth.  She liked to read magazines, was a loving grandmother and enjoyed outings with her daughter and grandchildren.

Although retired Mrs Fermendjin, supplemented her pension by ironing clothing for regular customers.

CASE DETAILS:

Mrs Fermendjin was murdered during a burglary on her home sometime between 7.18am and 7.40am on Tuesday 5 January.

It has been established that various items were stolen from her house, and this includes a very distinctive black leather hand bag. The bag is described as being embossed on the side, with a zip top and a metal buckle.

Mrs Fermendjin was located deceased in her home on 7 January 2016 by her daughter.

The person or persons responsible for Mrs Fermendjin murder have not yet been identified.
