At around 7.30pm on Friday 8 March 2024, the victim was inside a convenience store on High Street in Fremantle, when a group of five young males surrounded him and pushed him outside up against a wall at the side of the store. One of the males threatened to bash the victim if he didn’t hand over his silver chain. The victim took off his silver chain and handed to the male who took the chain and punched the victim in the face before the entire group took off.

Police have released CCTV images of a male who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The male is described as: brown skinned, medium build, between 14 to 16 years of age with dark curly hair and eyebrow slits. He was wearing a distinctive blue cap with two pictures embossed on the front of the cap.
