Bunbury Detectives charged a woman with Aggravated Robbery after an incident in Carey Park on Monday, 2 September 2019.

It will be alleged around 2pm the woman entered a grocery store on Mondak Place. She selected items and hid them under her clothes. Proceeding to the check-out, she declared some items but was unable to pay for them, so she left the store.

It will be further alleged a staff member, having monitored the woman’s actions on CCTV, confronted the woman about the stolen items still in the woman possession. The woman pushed her in the chest and threatened her.

The staff member, a woman in her 50’s, fell to the ground and broke her wrist.

As a result of information received by Crime Stoppers, on Tuesday 1 October 2019, a 24-year-old Warnbro woman was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

She appeared in Rockingham Magistrates Court yesterday, 1 October and will re-appear at the Bunbury Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 8 October 2019.
