At around 3.00pm on Sunday 3 September 2023, a man and woman exited a licensed premises on Avon Terrace in York after having eaten meals and purchased drinks at the premises. As they exited, the woman grabbed a Sonos speaker just outside the front doors before both the man and woman ran towards a rear car park, disappearing with the speaker. Investigators believe the man and woman were visiting York from Perth.

Police have released CCTV images of a man and woman who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The woman is described as: tan skinned, medium build, between 25 to 35 years of age with long black hair tied back into a pony tail. She was wearing a light blue jumper and light blue pants with thongs.

The man is described as: tan skinned, medium build, between 25 to 35 years of age with short black hair. He was wearing a light blue jumper with ‘CHAMP’ embossed on the front, navy blue pants with blue joggers, sunglasses and was carrying a black retractable umbrella.
