At around 1.00pm on Tuesday 29 August 2023, a man entered a tools retail store on Meadow Springs Drive in Meadow Springs and walked around the store looking at various items on display. He selected a soldering iron off the shelf and placed it down the front of his shorts before taking another item up to the front counter for payment. When the staff member requested payment, the man said he needed to get his wallet from his car and he left the store without returning.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: light skinned, slim build, between 30 to 40 years of age, short black hair, an unshaven appearance with a sleeve tattoo on his left arm. He was wearing a blue shirt, navy blue board shorts, grey and blue runners with a navy-blue cap.
