Road in Joondalup and asked a staff member if he could try on a gold chain from the display cabinet. As the man was trying on the chain he suddenly ran out of the store taking the gold chain with him.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: light skinned, slim build, between 20 to 30 years old with dark brown hair, a thin beard and moustache. He was wearing a black jumper over a black T-shirt, black knee length shorts, black cap with white runners.
