At around 11.00am on Sunday 1 January 2023, a bus driver became a victim when he placed his backpack on the ground waiting for his allocated bus to arrive at the bus stand. While distracted an unknown man in company with a woman stole the victim’s backpack containing his wallet and sunglasses. The backpack was recovered dumped nearby with all the contents removed.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as: brown skinned, slim build, between 50 to 60 years of age with grey hair and a long grey beard and moustache. He was wearing a flannelette shirt, dark coloured shorts with thongs and Akubra style hat.
