At around 3.30pm on Thursday 15 December 2022, the victim was sitting in a deck chair alongside a swimming pool at a hotel on Great Eastern Highway in Burswood. The victim left her deck chair to enter the pool for a swim and when she returned she realised her small brown handbag on the chair was missing. The handbag contained sunglasses, a mobile phone and bank card. The bank card was used to make a fraudulent purchase later that day.

Police have released CCTV images of a woman who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The woman is described as: white skinned, large build, between 30 to 40 years of age, long brown hair with blonde tips. She was wearing a black dress with no shoes and sunglasses on top of her head.
