At around 4:30pm on Saturday 22 August a man in his 70s has taken a silver Ford Fairlane sedan to a petrol station in Maddington to fill it up. The vehicle belongs to a man in his 80s who he cares for.

 

The man dispensed the petrol and went into the petrol station to pay for the fuel. While he was paying for the fuel he was alerted by customers that they had seen a man drive away with the vehicle. The victim returned to see the vehicle was no longer there.

 

The vehicle is described as a 1995 silver Ford Fairlane sedan, registration AK9466.

 

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

 

The man is described as: light skinned, medium to large build with dark facial hair. He wore a light shirt over his head, beige pants and dark shoes. He has a distinctive tattoo on his right arm.
