At around 11.00am on Wednesday 20 September, the victim was talking to a staff member near the exit of a retail store on Pinjarra Road in Mandurah. During this time, the staff member asked to check the bag of an unknown woman exiting the store. The unknown woman placed her bag inside the victims’ trolley where the victims’ bag was also being stored. As the woman’s bag was being checked, the woman reached into the victims’ bag and removed her wallet. 

Police have released CCTV images of a woman who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The woman is described as: medium build, dark skinned with brown hair. The woman was wearing a long sleeve shirt, beige shorts and white slides.
