Around 10am on Saturday 7 September 2019, a woman entered a clothing store on Riseley Street Booragoon. She requested assistance to find a suitable pair of jeans and a t-shirt. A store assistance provider her with three pairs of jeans and a t-shirt to try on. The woman entered the change room and came out a few minutes later claiming to have to leave in hurry due to a family emergency. The staff member entered the change room to find only the t-shirt.

 

The woman was followed and was spoken to about the jeans. Verbal abuse was directed towards the staff member and the jeans, worth $670, were recovered from her bag. The woman was seen heading towards a bus stop.

 

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

 

The woman is described as: Light skinned, 30-35 years of age, solid build and dyed red hair tied up. She was wearing a red top, snakeskin leggings and white Ugg boots.
