Around 10am on Sunday 11 August, the victim left his wallet at the counter of a shop in Shoalwater. Soon after, a man picked up the wallet and used a credit card to fraudulently purchase items from several shops in the Shoalwater and Safety Bay area to an amount around $400.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: Light skinned, 40 -55 years of age, thin/medium build, grey short hair and facial hair. He was wearing a blue hooded jacket, blue jeans rolled up at the bottom and thongs.
