At around 12.20pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024, a woman entered a grocery store on South Western Highway in Byford. She began browsing the aisles before selecting a Bauhn Android Tablet from a shelf and concealing it in her bag. As she was exiting the store, staff asked to see inside her bag. The woman refused and left the store, making no attempts to pay.

Police have released CCTV images of the woman who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The woman is described as: dark skinned, slim built with dark hair. She was wearing a white top, black leggings, black sneakers and was carrying a tote bag and a black cross body bag.
