At around 1pm on Thursday 12 December 2024, the victim was at a licensed premise on James Street in Northbridge. The victim accidentally clicked the cash out button instead of rolling the money over on a TAB machine and walked away from the machine. When he realised his mistake, he returned to the machine to discover his cash voucher worth over $400 gone. CCTV captured a man taking the victims cash voucher and exiting the store moments before the victim returned.

Police have released CCTV images of the man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: light skinned, average build with facial hair. He was wearing a blue top, grey shorts, black slides and a black hat.
