At around 8.00am on Wednesday 4 September 2024, a man and woman entered a grocery store on St Quentin Avenue in Claremont. They walked around the store placing numerous grocery items into a large black gym bag before exiting the store making no attempt to make payment. When a staff member asked to check the black bag, the woman said she would stab the staff member with a needle.

Police have released CCTV images of a man and woman who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: light skinned, slim build, between 20 to 30 years of age with short brown hair and an unshaven appearance. He was wearing red, white and blue hooded jumper, white pants and black sneakers.

The woman is described as: light skinned, slim build, between 20 to 25 years of age. She was wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants, white sneakers, carrying a pink backpack.
