At around 1.00am on Saturday 27 May 2023, the victim was closing his workplace in Yagan Square on Wellington Street in Perth. The victim placed his black and grey Nike backpack containing his wallet, work clothes and earphones, near the staff entrance and walked off to set the alarm nearby. When he returned a couple of minutes later his backpack had been taken. A woman is seen on CCTV pick up the backpack and run off down the footpath.

Police have released CCTV images of a woman who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The woman is described as: white skinned, medium build, between 20 to 30 years of age with straight long black hair. She was wearing a black drees and carrying a black jacket.
