At around 1.20pm on Tuesday 2 April 2024, the victim locked her silver Giant bike with a chain outside some shops on Whitfords Avenue in Hillarys. When the victim returned a few minutes later she discovered the chain broken and her bicycle stolen. A review of CCTV showed a man taking the victim’s bicycle within a minute of her securing the bicycle and walking away.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: tan skinned, slim build, between 35 to 45 years of age with curly black hair shaved on the sides and a small rat’s tail. He was wearing a black, white and blue striped long-sleeved shirt, black shorts, black sliders with black socks.
