At around 7.00pm on Sunday 20 October 2024, a man entered a confectionary store on William Street in Northbridge and walked around the store selecting various confectionary items. The man put the items onto the shop counter and inserted his bank card into the EFTPOS machine as if to make payment. Before the transaction was completed, the man pulled his bank card out of the EFTPOS machine, grabbed all the items and ran from the store.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: light skinned, slim build, between 20 to 30 years of age. He was wearing a blue two-toned hooded puffer jacket, beige trousers, white sneakers and a brown cap.
