At around 4.30pm on Wednesday 5 May 2021, a man stole a mobile phone from a woman at the train station on William Street in Perth. CCTV captured the man walking behind the woman down to the station platform place his hand into the woman’s backpack and remove her mobile phone.

The woman only realised her mobile phone had been stolen moments later.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: light skinned, medium build, short dark hair, between 30 to 40 years of age with tattoos on his left forearm and hand. He was wearing a black and white ‘New York’ top with black trousers and sunglasses.
