At around 4.55pm on Wednesday 9 November 2022, the victim went through the self checkout tills in a retail store on Yirrigan Drive in Mirrabooka. While scanning her items the victim placed her iPhone 12 down on the scanner and after making payment walked away leaving her iPhone behind. The next customer using that same checkout till picked up the iPhone when he had finished at the till and walked away with the iPhone.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: light skinned, slim build, between 20 to 30 years of age with short black hair. He was wearing a pink t-shirt, black pants, black joggers with prescription glasses.
