At around 12.07pm on Monday 18 November 2024, three women entered a store on Bayview Terrace in Claremont. They later asked a staff member for directions to the exit. As the staff member gave them instructions, he discovered multiple unpaid items in their trolley. When the staff member tried to recover the items, he was pushed multiple times by one of the women. Another woman raised her hand as if to hit the staff, before the staff member retreated. Seeing the altercation, another staff member followed the women out into the car park to retrieve the items. One of the other women threw a metal water bottle at that staff member, injuring her hand.

Police have released CCTV images of the women who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The first woman is described as: tanned skinned, slim build with long light hair. She was wearing a white top, black shorts, black thongs and was carrying a black bag.

The second woman is described as: tanned skinned, large build with short blonde hair. She was wearing a grey top, black pants, black thongs and was carrying a small black bag.

The third woman is described as: tanned skinned, slim build with long dark hair. She was wearing a black graphic top, black Nike track pants, black vans and was carrying a small black bag.
