At around 2.00am on Monday 4 December 2023, the victim was at a fast food restaurant on Bolton Avenue in Burswood in company with friends when he became involved in an argument with a man unknown to him. The victim was suddenly struck from behind to the side of his face causing him to fall to the ground unconscious. When the victim woke up he was bleeding from a cut on his eyebrow which was attended to by ambulance officers.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: light skinned, slim build, between 30 to 35 years of age with a black mullet style haircut, short beard, moustache and tattoo on his left forearm. He was wearing a light-coloured t-shirt, black trousers with black and white sneakers.
