UPDATE: A 42 year old man from Nollamara has been charged with 7 counts of stealing.

 

Kiara Police are investigating a series of stealing offences in the Bassendean area between July and October 2019.

 

Since 11 July 2019, police believe the same man has been involved in seven instances where casks of wine have been stolen from liquor stores in the Bassendean area. On each occasion, the man entered the store, selected at least two casks of wine, waits for staff to be busy with customers and walks out of the store without making payment.

 

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

 

The man is described as: Dark skinned, around 40 years of age, dark greying facial hair, however has been clean shaven as well. He always wears a bandana or head covering of some type. He has a thin/medium build and is around 175cm tall.
