At around 2.25pm on Friday 29 September 2023, the victim locked her e-scooter to a bike stand in the Hay Street Mall in Perth. The victim returned around thirty minutes later to find her e-scooter, lock and helmet had been taken. CCTV recorded a man approach the victim’s scooter, crouch next to it for less than a minute before riding away on it. The man is believed to be the same person involved with stealing two further e-scooters from the Hay Street Mall in September.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: brown skinned, large build, between 30 to 40 years of age with an unshaven appearance and tattoos visible on both his hands. He was wearing a grey hooded jumper, black track pants, grey joggers, a black cap with sunglasses and was carrying a black shoulder bag.
