At around 3.40pm on Wednesday 5 November 2024, a woman entered a shoe store on Joondalup Drive in Joondalup. She tried on a pair of skate shoes and approached the counter with the shoebox. She asked staff for a pair of socks on the wall behind the counter. When the staff member turned around, the woman grabbed the shoebox from the counter and ran out of the store.
Police have released CCTV images of the man and woman who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The woman is described as: dark skinned, large build with dark hair. She was wearing a black top, dark mini skirt, black crocs with white socks and was carrying a pink tote bag and a white handbag.
