At around 11.20am on Monday 1 January 2024, two men entered a hardware store on Ranford Road in Forrestdale and were observed taking items off the shelves and placing them in their pants. After exiting the store both men were confronted by store security and were able to retrieve items from one of the men, however the other man ran off before police arrived.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as: tan skinned, medium build, between 30 to 40 years of age, short black hair with an unshaven appearance and tattoos visible on both arms. He was wearing a blue Nike t-shirt, black knee length shorts with blue Nike joggers.
