At around 2.00pm on Monday 8 January 2024, the victim was at Rockingham Beach in Rockingham. The victim placed his wallet under his beach towel on the sand and entered the water for a swim, close to where his towel and wallet were. When the victim returned to his towel he found his wallet missing along with a bank car that was used to make three fraudulent purchases that afternoon before the card was cancelled.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: light skinned, medium build, between 55 to 65 years of age with a grey beard and moustache. He was wearing a light maroon coloured t-shirt, dark grey shorts, brown sandals with a faded blue bucket hat and prescription glasses.
